What we do
It's not complicated. It's just real.
We show up with our therapy rabbits who are calm, gentle, and trained for connection. We visit senior care facilities, veteran/military units, and essential communities across the region. Everyone holds the bunnies. Some laugh for the first time in weeks. Some talk about rabbits they had as children. Some just sit quietly and breathe a little deeper. All of it counts.
Research shows animal-assisted interactions reduce cortisol, ease anxiety, and spark social engagement, especially in populations experiencing isolation, cognitive decline, or grief. But honestly? You don't need the science to feel it. You just have to be in the room when it happens.

A Story from a room
Jon hadn't connected to something in months. Then Daisy showed up and settled into his lap. After holding her, he whispered straight to her "You're the best thing that has happened to me in so long". She reached something inside Jon that nothing else could. That's the purpose of bunny therapy.
This is what we do. Visit by visit. Lap by lap.
The program is growing. So is the need.
Care Homes/Hospitals
Memory care, assisted living, rehabilitation centers. We coordinate directly with activities staff to make every visit seamless.
First Responders/Veterans
Coming soon, with the right sponsors, we can bring bunny therapy to those who've carried so much for everyone else. No cost to them. Ever.
Healing and Community Events
Part of Solara Sanctuary's broader ecosystem is retreats, intergenerational programs, and farm-based healing experiences.
