Workcamp with Solara

For those called to stay longer.

What is Workcamping?

Workcampers are people who feel called to stay longer — to live simply, contribute daily, and become part of the rhythm of the land.

This is not a retreat or a program. It’s real life in motion — building, tending, learning, and adapting together as Solara takes shape.

Solara Sanctuary is still being built. Life here is simple, grounded, and sometimes messy.

Days may include:

  • Helping with building or repairs

  • Land care, gardening, or animal support

  • Shared meals and simple routines

  • Time for rest, reflection, or creativity

We do what's needed, listen to the land, and adjust when we need to.

Workcamping at Solara may be a good fit if you:

  • Are comfortable with simple living

  • Can be flexible and self-directed

  • Enjoy contributing without rigid structure

  • Value presence, respect, and communication

This may not be the right fit if you’re looking for a structured program, guaranteed accommodations, or a fast-paced experience.

Workcampers exchange time, skills, and presence for:

  • A place to stay (simple accommodations)

  • Shared meals when available

  • The experience of being part of Solara’s early growth

This is a nonprofit project built through community support. Some workcampers are self-supported or sponsored.

Workcampers are supported by donations that help cover materials, food, and infrastructure.
